After getting food poisoning in India and basically fasting for a week, I was starving, and on the hunt for delicious Vietnamese delicacies. The goal was to spend the entire day satiating my hunger, breakfast, lunch, dinner, desert and coffee. I had a mission on this one epic day to fill my empty belly in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. PRO-COMMUNIST SENATOR “HANOI” JOHN KERRY SUPPORTS BRUTAL COMMUNIST VIETNAM BY KILLING VIETNAM HUMAN RIGHTS ACT 2009 (H.R. 1969) IN THE SENATE.

He considers dirty money and economic ties with Vietnam much more important than human rights values. Consequently, Vietnam, has waged a new crackdown on democracy activists such as Father Nguyen van Ly and lawyers Nguyen van Dai and Le thi Cong Nhan, who were given unfair, harsh sentences of several years in prison for their democracy activities.

“I found the Pho in Saigon to be bland” …compared to where? and “but it was worse in Hanoi” well, pho comes from Hanoi or the region where Hanoi is located.

another whitey eating in whitey establishments.

small stool restaurants are the only places to eat real Viet Nam delicacies. Real food, tastes awesome, real people and very very reasonably price.

Perhaps next time we will get a cultural tour of SE asia’s greatest resorts bars and swimming pools. That’ll be really enlightening.

Durian got a bit of a bad rap. It tastes delicious compared to what it smells like. I am not Vn and I eat it. The ice cream never thrilled me either.

Will have to remember Sesame next time I am there. There are cheaper and better tasting pho than at Pho 24 though.

    HELP BAT NHA MONASTERY!!!

About 380 young monks and nuns who are followers of Buddhist leader Thich Nhat Hanh, have called on the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, to grant them temporary asylum, after they were forced to flee Bat Nha monastery and repeatedly attacked by vigilantes allegedly hired by the Vietnamese authorities. They say the government regards their leader as a threat to its authority due to his fast-growing popularity among the youth.

If America had not involved the war, South Vietnam would have fallen into communism in 1954 and more Vietnamese would have been murdered in cultural revolutions like those launched by Mao in China (20 million deaths) and Khmer Rouge in Cambodia (2 millions)

Total Vietnamese democide by communists:1,040,000 (1975-87) by UNHCR

    Executions: 100,000
    Camp Deaths: 95,000
    Forced Labor: 48,000
    Democides in Cambodia: 460,000
    Democides in Laos: 87,000
    Vietnamese Boat People: 500,000 deaths.

  18. TOMP66666 says:

Ho chi Minh, Vietnam’s communist leader, is a disguting TRAITOR & MURDERER! In exchange for chinese military aids in the war with France (1945-1954), he gave up Paracel & Spratly archipelagos with large oil resources to China. He even ordered to murder his own mistress named Nong thi Xuan when she threatened to disclose her sexual relationship with him since that would destroy his image as a “Father” of Vietnam who “sacrifices” his whole life for Vietnam revolution.

  19. TOMP66666 says:

Prosperity only exists in big cities in Vietnam like Hanoi and Saigon, but 80% of Vietnamese population live in poor, underdeveloped rural areas. While corrupt communist leaders like Prime minister Nguyen tan Dung and President Nguyen minh Triet are multi-billionaires, a regular Vietnamese earns only $1 per day. More than 200,000 Vietnamese women from poor families, many as young as ten, are working as prostitutes and sex slaves in China, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Korea.

Exactly, we went to Quan An Ngon many times, we knew it was more expensive than alot of places, but it was always packed with locals…
There are a few places you see with heaps of locals in them, if we seen one that had plenty of locals in there, we’d stop and eat, hehe. Cha gio is my favourite dish. I love VN, especially for the fact I’m not allergic to most foods like I am here in AU.

  23. clawdia78 says:

Actually they’re not that expensive… we got ours for less than $3000 for 2 adults, 3 children and an infant… gotta love birthday sales…
